Export Now Workshop
Live and in person in Kuala Lumpur.

Before your next overseas buyer asks, have the answers ready.

In Export Now Workshop, we focus on the decisions that usually determine whether a buyer’s interest turns into an export order: your price, your market, your distributor, your packaging label and your first container shipment.

So when the buyer starts asking, you already know what to answer, what to check, and what to think through before you say yes.

Your facilitator is an exporter first

I did not learn export from PowerPoint slides. I learned it by doing it.

Since 2018 I have taken my own products into international markets, shipped containers to 35 countries across six continents, and exhibited at international trade shows like SIAL Paris, ANUGA Germany, FOODEX Tokyo, Gulfood Dubai, Summer Fancy Food New York and more.

I have met thousands of buyers, in person and over email, WhatsApp and Zoom, across different countries and time zones.

I have prepared quotations, sent samples, negotiated prices, worked with distributors, handled packaging change requests, answered certification questions, discussed exclusivity, managed container shipments, and followed up with buyers who went quiet.

Some conversations became orders.
Some went nowhere.
Some took months.

Along the way I learned things that are hard to understand from theory and slides alone.

Some lessons I paid for with time, money and my own experience.

Export Now Workshop is the workshop I needed myself when I first started exporting. What took me years to learn, I have organised into two days so you can make decisions faster and with more clarity.

You got the buyer’s interest

Then the questions start, one after another.

You have probably spent months, maybe years, building the product. Then you spend more to exhibit at a trade show: flights, hotel, booth, and couriering samples overseas. Three to five days standing at your booth, talking to buyer after buyer.

Finally, someone is genuinely interested.

They pick up your product.
They ask questions.
They take your business card.

They might even say:

“Send me your quotation.”

Great. This is the moment you have been waiting for.

Then the harder questions start coming.

What is your FOB price?
What is your MOQ?
How long is your production lead time?
What certifications do you have?
Can you customise the packaging?
What is the shelf life on arrival?
What payment terms can you offer?
Can we have exclusivity?
How quickly can you ship?

The hard part is not when a buyer says no. It is harder when a buyer is interested, but you are still not sure what to do next.

The buyer asks for a price, so you need to check.
They ask for exclusivity, so you need to think.
They ask for payment terms, so you need to calculate.
They ask about packaging, so you check with someone else.
They ask for a document, and only then do you start looking.

Little by little, the conversation slows down.

Then the buyer goes quiet.

And you start wondering:

Was it the price?
Did they change their mind?
Were we too slow to respond?
Or was the product not good enough?

Sometimes the problem was never the product. What was not ready was the business and the operations behind it.

That is the gap Export Now Workshop is built to help close.

Over these two days, the way you see export may change.

You might be thinking right now: “Export is for big brands.”

By the end, the way you see company size and export-readiness may look different.

You might be thinking right now: “Why would an overseas buyer buy from a small factory in Malaysia?”

The answer may not be what most founders assume.

You might be thinking right now: “I just need more buyers.”

But what if more buyers will not necessarily solve the real problem?

You might be thinking right now: “My export price is USD 2.50.”

After Export Now Workshop, that sentence may feel not quite complete.

You might be thinking right now: “A distributor wants exclusivity. Great news.”

Exclusivity can sound appealing. But before you say yes, there are a few things that need to be clear first.

Most export seminars help you understand how export works. Export Now Workshop helps you calculate, check and decide what to do for your own product.

FOB, CIF, HS codes, Certificate of Origin, distributor agreements, shipping terms and payment terms, all of that you can look up on Google or ask ChatGPT.

But the more important questions are:

What price should I offer?
Which market is right for my product?
What should I ask this distributor?
What can I agree to, and what should I check before I quote?
Can my company handle this order well?

That is where Export Now Workshop begins.

The Export Now Workshop method

We follow the real flow of export. Each decision shapes the next one.

STEP 1
Cost
What really needs to go into your cost?
STEP 2
Price
What price should you offer the buyer?
STEP 3
Market
Which market deserves priority?
STEP 4
Distributor
Which distributor fits this market, and what terms should you agree to?
STEP 5
Compliance
What needs to be ready before the product clears customs and enters the market?
STEP 6
Container Shipment
The buyer has confirmed the order. What needs to happen next?

Seven things you walk out with.

Not just sitting and listening. You will calculate, check and make decisions using your own product and real numbers.

01
Your Export-Readiness Score
See clearly which areas need the most attention right now.
02
Your Export Price + Margin Floor
Work out the real numbers and know the lowest price that still makes sense before you negotiate.
03
Your Target-Market Shortlist
Filter the markets you are considering and decide which deserve priority.
04
Your Distributor Plan + Red-Flag List
Know what to ask and check before you make a decision.
05
Your Compliance + Packaging Label Gap List
Identify what needs fixing before it becomes an issue with a buyer or the authorities.
06
Your First-Shipment Plan
Map out the steps that need to happen after the buyer confirms the order.
07
Your 30-Day Export Action Plan
Leave with clear steps on what to do first over the next 30 days.
Day 1

Find the gaps. Build the numbers.

Export Readiness Diagnostic

Start by seeing where your product really stands across pricing, market, distributor, compliance and shipment. From there, we can see more clearly what is ready and what still needs work.

YOU PRODUCE: Your Export-Readiness Score

Export Price Surgery

Your factory price is only the beginning.

Bring your real numbers. We take the export price apart piece by piece and see what happens to your margin when buyers start asking for changes to price, quantity, packaging, payment terms or shipping.

An RM100 price does not mean you keep RM100.
After the export-related costs come out, RM100 can leave you with RM66.

Market Gate

An exciting country is not always the most suitable market.

Bring the markets you are considering, then we filter them one by one. Some may move up your priority list, some drop off, and one you never considered may turn out to be more worth exploring.

Day 2

Build the buyer conversation.

Distributor Red-Flag Roleplay

At first the distributor loves your product. Then the real requests come: a lower price, a bigger territory, longer payment terms, exclusivity.

Here we practise how to weigh each request before you say yes.

YOU PRODUCE: Your Distributor Plan + Red-Flag List

Label Red-Flag Audit

Your product has to pass inspection before it reaches the shopper. Bring your real packaging and we check it piece by piece: what is already fine, what needs fixing, and what could become an issue when the product enters that market.

YOU PRODUCE: Your Compliance + Packaging Label Gap List

First Shipment War Room

The buyer has confirmed the order. Now the real work begins: production, packaging, payment, documents, shipping, timelines and last-minute requests.

In this exercise we see what happens when one decision starts affecting another.

At some point, you might find yourself thinking:

“Is this order still worth taking?”

Going to a trade show soon?

Before you exhibit at a trade show, join Export Now Workshop first.

Don’t wait until you are at the trade show to realise your price is not clear, your MOQ is uncertain, your lead time is not confirmed or your packaging is not ready.

A trade show is too expensive to be the place where you first learn, or first spot your own gaps.

Find and fix those gaps first, before a buyer does.

Who Export Now Workshop is for.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You already have a real product.
  • You want to start exporting but are not sure what the next step is.
  • You are starting to get enquiries from overseas buyers.
  • You are preparing for a trade show, or want better results from the ones you have joined.
  • You have started talking to potential distributors.

Export Now Workshop is built for the company that has reached this point: the product exists. Now it is time to build the export business and operations that can support that product when an overseas opportunity arrives.

What could one avoidable export mistake cost?

One mispriced order.
One packaging reprint.
One shipping cost that should never have happened.
One wrong distributor decision.
One market entered too early.
One expensive trade show where you finally meet the buyer, but are not ready to answer their questions.

RM1,497 is not just for two days of learning about export.

It is for two days to find and close the gaps before a small mistake turns into an expensive problem.

Bring your team

Bring the team that will actually make export happen.

Export rarely sits with one person. One person may make the commercial decisions, but someone still needs to handle buyer enquiries, quotations, documents, follow-up and shipments. That is why Export Now Workshop is also available as a company bundle.

Coming as a team? Recommended. When the people who decide, sell and fulfil work through the same export decisions together, it is much easier to implement what happens after the workshop.

Your next buyer could come from any channel. A trade show, email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, a referral, or a conversation you never expected.

We may not know when that opportunity will come. But we can start getting ready now.

Find the gaps before the buyer does.
