Export training · speaking · advisory
Export growth does not begin with more buyers. It begins with better decisions.
I help F&B founders, export teams and the programmes that support them make the decisions that protect export growth: pricing, margins, market selection, distributors, compliance, shipments and reorders. Led by Yasmin Karim, an active Malaysian exporter and founder of XportStack.

Sound familiar?
Founders tell me this all the time
If this sounds familiar, you do not need more generic advice. You need a practical export system.

This may already be happening in your business
Your export price is shrinking before the order begins
An FOB price can look profitable and still leave far less than expected. Although the buyer pays international freight and import duties, you still carry export packaging, testing, documentation, inland logistics, bank charges, rebates and payment-term costs. Here is how RM100 in FOB revenue can shrink before product cost is deducted.
Illustrative figures. These are the export costs founders most often miss. Add them together, and a price that looked profitable may barely cover the product itself.
Or calculate your margin now with the free tool. Pricing is where I start.
Most export advice begins with the wrong question
More buyers cannot repair a weak export system
Most founders are told to find buyers, join trade shows, send samples and follow up harder. But when the price is wrong, more buyers only create more unprofitable quotes. When the market choice is random, more enquiries create more confusion. When the distributor is unqualified, the first order may be the last. When labels and documents are not ready, the shipment stalls before it starts.
I do not teach founders to chase every lead or assume a distributor will solve the rest. I teach the decisions that make export sustainable: price, market, distributor, compliance, shipment and reorders. Together, they form the XportStack Export Decision System.
Built from export mistakes I had to solve
I built a Malaysian F&B brand and began exporting the way many founders do: responding quickly to overseas interest, quoting before every cost was clear, saying yes to keep the buyer interested and leaving the difficult decisions until later.
Then came the lessons: a deal that looked profitable until every cost was counted; a distributor who went quiet after the first order; a label issue that delayed a shipment; and a market that looked exciting but did not fit the product, margin or readiness.
That was when I realised export success is not about finding more buyers. It is about making a small number of important decisions properly: price, market, distributor, compliance and shipment. I turned those decisions into a system, used it in my own export business and built it into XportStack. Today, I teach that system through keynotes, workshops and advisory.
Who I help
This is for you when export feels more complicated than it should.
I help F&B founders who want to export but feel stuck on pricing, documents, compliance or distributor follow-up. Together, we build a practical export system so you can quote with confidence, ship correctly and manage buyers without the chaos.

You need to know what is truly profitable after freight, duties, rebates and payment terms.
You develop F&B founders or SMEs
You need a speaker or trainer who brings real export operations into your event, cohort or programme.

Turn export knowledge into an operating system
The system I teach is the system I built and still use.
Most export talks leave people with notes. My training leaves them with a working process. Participants do not just learn the playbook; they use XportStack, the export operating system built for F&B brands, to put it into practice.
This is more than export training. It is the operating system behind disciplined export growth: pricing, market selection, buyer follow-up, distributor management, shipment readiness, compliance and cash flow.
What I believe
Successful exporters do not just chase buyers. They build a system that can serve buyers properly.
Malaysia's next generation of exporters will not manage growth through scattered files, inconsistent follow-ups and guesswork. They will run export as a system.

FAQ
Questions before you book
Do you find buyers for clients?
I do not start with buyer hunting. I help founders become buyer-ready first, so pricing, market choice, distributor fit, compliance and shipment readiness are clear before serious outreach begins. More leads cannot repair a weak export system.
Is this just export theory?
No. Every session is built around practical decisions for your own product, using real examples and the same XportStack tools I use to run my export business.
What makes this different from a conventional export talk?
Unlike a conventional talk, this is taught by an active exporter who built software around the system used to manage export growth. The examples, tools and decisions come from operations, not slides alone.
Who do you work with?
F&B founders preparing to export or already exporting, and the organisations that support them: trade agencies, accelerators, chambers and SME programmes.
Can sessions be delivered in English and Bahasa Malaysia?
Yes. Keynotes, workshops and training programmes can be delivered in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
How are fees calculated?
Fees depend on the format, audience size, preparation required and whether XportStack implementation is included. Share your budget range in the enquiry form and I will recommend the best-fit format.
Do you travel for events, and are online sessions available?
I am based in Malaysia and available for in-person events locally and regionally, as well as online sessions.
Is this only for first-time exporters?
No. First-time exporters use it to build strong foundations. Active exporters use it to protect margins, solve distributor issues and expand into new markets.
How do I book or check availability?
Send a short note through the enquiry form with your audience, export stage and goal. I read every message myself and will recommend the right format.
